On May 19, 21 Ever-Glory colleagues from teams across the company gathered in Nanjing for our sixth annual "520" badminton event.
The day was built around men's and women's round-robin matches, with experienced players and first-timers sharing the courts. Matches could get lively, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed and supportive all day.

One of the standout moments wasn't planned at all. A colleague from the Finance team stepped into the men's group to complete the rotation — and went on to finish third in her group. Nobody expected it. It just became the moment of the day.
For Ever-Glory, this kind of activity has never really been about winning. Our day-to-day work brings together teams across design, product development, sourcing, production, quality management and customer service. Good collaboration depends on processes, but it grows out of trust and communication between people. Sport and shared activities give those relationships a different place to develop, outside their usual roles.
These activities are also part of a broader approach to employee engagement and workplace wellbeing. Alongside professional development and training, we continue to encourage activities that support a healthy, connected and collaborative working environment.
The day ended with a short awards session and plenty of conversation off the court. For most participants, the final ranking mattered less than the chance to play, to meet colleagues from other teams, and to spend time together.
That's the point, in the end. For a company working across a global apparel supply chain, strong internal relationships help teams communicate better, solve problems faster, and work more effectively with customers and partners. Ever-Glory will keep building a workplace culture around teamwork, wellbeing, inclusion and long-term employee development — values just as essential to a resilient organization as manufacturing capability and supply chain efficiency.
